Tämän projektiluonteisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa ajantasainen, selkeä ja osaston tarpeet huomioiva perehdytyskansio opiskelijoiden ja työntekijöiden käyt-töön. Työn tilaavana osastona toimi Satakunnan keskussairaalan lastenosasto. Opin-näytetyö on työelämälähtöinen ja sen lähtökohtana oli osaston tarve kyseiselle työlle. Projektin tehtävänä oli yhdistää entisten lastentautien- ja kirurgian osaston perehdy-tyskansiot ja luoda vuonna 2015 keväällä avatulle Lasten- ja naistentalon uudelle las-tenosastolle uusi ja ajantasainen perehdytyskansio. Perehdytyskansio toteutettiin pa-perisena ja sähköisenä versiona.
Projektin tarkoituksena oli luoda osaston käyttöön sellainen perehdytyskansio, joka toimii hyvänä työvälineenä perehdyttämisprosessissa. Perehdytyskansion tavoitteena oli tukea työntekijän sekä opiskelijoiden sopeutumista työyhteisöön ja perehdyttämis-tä osastolla.
Projektia varten etsittiin teoriatietoa perehdytyksestä, lainsäädännöstä ja perehdytys-prosessista. Teoriatiedon tarkoituksena oli selvittää mitä on hyvä perehdytys sekä aut-taa ymmärtämään perehdytys kokonaisuutena. Teoreettisen tietopohjan tarkoituksena oli myös auttaa tekemään sisällöltään ja ulkoasultaan hyvä ja osaston tarpeita vastaava perehdytyskansio.
Projektin tuotoksena syntyneen perehdytyskansion suunnittelussa ja sisällön laatimi-sessa otettiin huomioon työntekijöiden toiveet. Perehdytyskansio sisältää tietoa muun muassa osaston toiminta-ajatuksesta ja arvoista, osaston toimintaperiaatteista, osaston päivärytmistä, työtehtävistä, osastolla käytettävistä laitteista ja koneista, potilastyö-hön liittyvistä asioista, yhteistyökumppaneista sekä yleisimmistä sairauksista ja toi-menpiteistä, joita osastolla on. Lopullista tuotosta on arvioinut projektin tekijä, osas-tonhoitaja ja osaston työntekijät suullisesti sekä arviointilomakkeella.
Projekti toteutettiin yhteistyössä osaston henkilökunnan kanssa. Perehdytyskansio toteutettiin tilaavan osaston toiveiden ja tarpeiden mukaisesti sekä tutkitun ja näyt-töön perustuvan teoriatiedon perusteella. Perehdytyskansio otettiin käyttöön osastolla syyskuun lopussa 2016.The purpose of this project-type thesis was to provide for employees and students an up-to-date and clear orientation folder, which meets the needs of the ward. The the-sis was commissioned by the children’s ward of the Satakunta Central Hospital. This working-life oriented thesis was based on the needs of the ward for this kind of ma-terial. The goal of this project was to combine the orientation folders of the former wards of pediatrics and surgery and create a new, up-to-date orientation folder for the new children’s ward of the unit for children and women, which was opened in spring 2015. The orientation folder was provided as printed and electronic versions.
The aim of this project was to create an orientation folder, which would serve at the ward as a good tool in orientation processes. The orientation folder was intended to support employees’ and students’ integration into the work community and their ori-entation at the ward.
For the project, theoretical literature was searched on orientation, legislation and ori-entation process. The examination of the literature helped to find out what is good orientation like and understand orientation as whole. It also helped to see how to make the orientation folder good by its content and layout and meet the needs of the ward.
In the preparation of the content for the orientation folder, employees’ wishes were taken into consideration. The orientation folder includes information, for example, about the ward’s strategy and values, principles and daily schedule; descriptions of work tasks and devices and machines that are used at the ward; matters related to working with patients and collaborators; as well as information about the most com-mon diseases that are treated at the ward and procedures adopted in care. The final product was self-evaluated by the author of the thesis, head nurse and the employees at the ward gave feedback orally and by means of an evaluation form.
The project was carried out in collaboration with the ward’s personnel. The orienta-tion folder was prepared according to the wishes and needs of the ward and relied on research and evidence-based information. The orientation folder was brought into use at the ward at the end of September 2016
