With this, I have grown to know how to interact in both a professional and college setting and exactly when to act in those ways. Being someone that represents all students on campus, I have learned to recognize and understand the different cultures and identities within people. This recognition not only makes me aware of differences, but will help me serve and lead in a global society. ASLC and Its Impact on MeMy involvement with ASLC has not only helped find my passion, but it has helped build me into someone that can think critically and communicate effectively. With the critical thinking and communication skills that I have gained, I have been able to convey messages to the student body and effectively lead the ASLC Cabinet. “The connections, experience, and friendships I have made through ASLC will stick with me for life and I know that if I didn’t do this here at Linfield, I would be a completely different person.”My Involvement with ASLC• 2016-2017 LCAT Secretary • 2017-2018 ASLC VP of Programming• 2018-2019 ASLC President ASLC and My Connections to LinfieldBeing able to make professional and personal connections with faculty and staff on campus has truly made Linfield feel like home. The mentors that I gained from my involvement have been one of the best parts of this position.
