Letter Written by Katherine Trickey to Her Folks Dated September 18, 1945

Abstract

[Transcription begins] Tues. 18 Sept 1945 Dear Folks, I had a very quiet week-end. My room was cool enough to really enjoy. I slept and read Sat afternoon & evening – worked at the office Sunday morning – slept again Sunday afternoon and then cleaned out my wall lockers & foot lockers Sunday evening. I found enough junk to fill a box to send home, so I sent a box this morning by Railroad Express – It will come collect. – I haven’t any bills with me as I write this but will send some money in the next letter to take care of the expenses. There are some things in the box for you all – Use what you want. – Most of the rest are souveneirs? (sic) – Dot, I’m taking shorthand two evenings a week – starting last week – and am enjoying it! Not as difficult as I believed it was!! Must stop now Very hastily with love to all of you Kay [Transcription ends
