Abstract

The journal GEOGRAPHICALIA has been uninterruptedly published since 1977, being one of the oldest Geography active journals in Spain. In these more than 40 years, the study that Geography makes of the three disciplines addressed by this number, "Climate, Society and Environment", has been highly transformed, both in the approaches and tools, as well as in the contents and interests. GEOGRAPHICALIA has witnessed this evolution providing, to a greater or lesser extent, its part to the knowledge of all of them, especially in Spain and Latin America. Professor J.M. Cuadrat, pioneer of climatic research in the Department of Geography and Regional Planning from the University of Zaragoza, has accompanied this journal during all its trajectory, notably contributing with many colleagues.La revista GEOGRAPHICALIA se edita ininterrumpidamente desde 1977, configurándose como una de las revistas en activo más antiguas de la Geografía en España. En estos más de 40 años, el estudio que la Geografía hace de las tres disciplinas que aborda el presente número, “Clima, Sociedad y Medio Ambiente”, se ha transformado considerablemente, tanto en sus enfoques y herramientas, como en sus contenidos e intereses. GEOGRAPHICALIA ha sido testigo de esta evolución aportando, en mayor o menor medida, su granito de arena al conocimiento de todas ellas, sobre todo en España y Latinoamérica. El Profesor J.M. Cuadrat, iniciador de la investigación climática en el Departamento de Geografía y Ordenación del Territorio de la Universidad de Zaragoza, ha acompañado a esta revista durante toda su trayectoria, contribuyendo notablemente con diversos colegas
