Abstract
As a second installment of a series of articles focusing on questions related to graduate students’ experiences, the first
having been an examination of students’ awareness of their program requirements, we now look at one particularly
important step in graduate studies, the colloquium or thesis proposal, and we discuss students’ thesis writing strategies. As a
reminder, these articles are based on a survey sent to graduate students across Canada, as well as history department websites and student handbooks.Comme second article portant sur les expériences des étudiants diplômés, nous examinons maintenant une étape particulièrement importante dans les études supérieures, le colloque ou proposition
