Health literacy driving health engagement in the pluralist context of migrant health in Australia

Abstract

&nbsp;Migrants have a range of unrecognised health literacy skills that are not adequately understood or addressed within the Australian health sector. This study has shown that migrants have effective compensatory mechanisms that, if supported, may optimise health literacy and engagement and ultimately, may improve health outcomes.<br /
