Abstract
O presente trabalho, com base de sustentação teórica na Linguística de Corpus e no ensino de
línguas mediado pelas tecnologias, pretende contribuir para o conhecimento, por parte dos
professores de Português, das possibilidades didáticas que as aplicações da Linguística de
Corpus podem constituir para o ensino-aprendizagem da homonímia e da polissemia. Deste
modo, começaremos por delimitar os conceitos de homonímia e polissemia. Seguidamente,
abordaremos conceitos que a Linguística de Corpus contempla e procederemos também à
apresentação do CINTIL, concordanciador que nos permitirá obter concordâncias de palavras
homónimas e polissémicas. Na última parte deste trabalho, apresentaremos exemplos concretos
de utilização de concordâncias, tendo em vista o ensino-aprendizagem da homonímia e da
polissemia, demonstrando que o ensino através da transmissão passiva do conhecimento
gramatical da língua pode, e deve, ser substituído por atividades práticas e problematizadoras,
que desenvolvem nos alunos uma atitude crítica e reflexiva sobre o real funcionamento
linguístico.This work, based on Corpus Linguistics and technology-mediated language teaching, aims to
contribute to the knowledge, among Portuguese teachers, of the didactic possibilities that the
applications of Corpus Linguistics can constitute for the teaching-learning of homonymy and of
polysemy. Then, we will approach concepts that Corpus Linguistics contemplates and we will also
present the CINTIL, concordancer that will allow us to obtain concordances of homonymous and
polysemic words. In the last part of this work, we will present concrete examples of the use of
concordances, in view of the teaching-learning of homonymy and polysemy, demonstrating that
teaching through the passive transmission of grammatical knowledge of the language can and
should be replaced by practical activities and problematizing, that develop in the students a critical
