Abstract
presente tema foi definido no sentido de alertar e sensibilizar os alunos e docentes do
Agrupamento Vertical de Escolas Monsenhor Jerónimo de Amaral, para o facto de o artesanato de
Bisalhães, dentro de poucos anos, deixar de existir, caso não sejam preservados os conhecimentos, as
técnicas e métodos de fabrico desta tradição secular e tendo em conta que um dos objectivos do
projecto educativo da escola prende-se com a preservação e valorização do património nacional, local
e da escola.
O problema de investigação relaciona-se com o conhecimento acerca do artesanato de
Bisalhães e com a sua preservação, pelos docentes e alunos do Agrupamento Vertical de Escolas
Monsenhor Jerónimo de Amaral. Para este trabalho de investigação optou-se pelo estudo descritivo,
exploratório e transversal, uma vez que tem como objectivo descrever e explicar num determinado
momento os fenómenos, observar, registar, analisar e correlacionar os factos sem os manipular. A
amostra seleccionada para este estudo é constituída por 30 docentes e 30 alunos do Agrupamento,
que aceitaram fazer parte do estudo e que foram escolhidos aleatoriamente. Neste estudo, o
instrumento seleccionado para efectuar a colheita de dados foi um questionário onde se caracteriza
sócio-demograficamente a amostra e se incluem questões acerca do artesanato de Bisalhães, dos
conhecimentos acerca deste artesanato e se este conhecimento se relaciona com a preservação das
peças.
Os resultados obtidos vão de encontro ao que se verifica na revisão da literatura, pois quer os
alunos quer os docentes, na sua maioria, conhecem o artesanato de Bisalhães, bem como estão
sensibilizados para a preservação desta arte tradicional. Os docentes consideram ainda importante que
sejam tomadas medidas, no Agrupamento, no sentido de o artesanato ser mais visível aos olhos da
comunidade, visitando o local de trabalho dos oleiros, promovendo exposições no agrupamento, bem
como a implementação de actividades práticas em sala de aula, acerca desta arte. This theme was chosen to alert and sensitize the students and teachers of the Agrupamento
Vertical de Escolas Monsenhor Jerónimo de Amaral, to the fact that the Bisalhães handicraft, in a few
years, will desapear, if the knowledge, the technics and means of facturating this secular tradition will
not be preserved and also because one of the educational project of this school is the preservation and
valorization of the national, local and school’s heritage.
The investigation problem is related to the knowledge about the Bisalhães handicraft and its
preservation, by the teachers and students of the Agrupamento Vertical de Escolas Monsenhor
Jerónimo de Amaral. To this investigation work, we use a descriptive, exploratory and transversal study,
with the purpose to describe and explain, at a given time phenomena, observe, registry, analyze and
correlate facts without manipulate them. The sample of this study is composed by 30 teachers and 30
students of the Agrupamento, who agreed to take part in this study and were randomly chosen. In this
study, the instrument selected to perform the data collection will be a questionnaire, which characterize
socio-demographic our sample and included questions about Bisalhães handicraft, knowledge about
this craft and if they’re knowledge is related to the preservation of parts.
The results obtained agree with what is found in the literature review, because either students or
teachers, most of them know Bisalhães handicraft and are sensitized to the preservation of this
traditional art. Teachers also consider important that measures should be taken, in the Agrupamento, so
that this handicraft can became more visible to the community, visiting the work of potters, promoting
exhibitions in the Agrupamento, as well as implementation of practical activities in the classroom, about
this art
