Abolition of Herpes simplex cytopathic effect after treatment with peroxidase generated hypothiocyanite

Abstract

HSV1 suspensions were pre-incubated in a lactoperoxidase thiocyanate oxidizing system before inoculation in MRC5 fibroblast cultures.
