He will serve as the interim appointee until selection is made to permanently fill the position vacated earlier this month by Dean Douglass G. Boshkoff. Boshkoff's resignation was announced last May 28. He was first named acting dean of the Bloomington law school in 1971 and then became dean in 1972. Following sabbatical leave for the second semester of the current academic year, he will resume teaching. Professor Nolan became a member of the 1.U. School of Law staff in 1949 as an assistant professor. He was named associate professor in 1952 and professor in 1956. He also is professor of zoology.
