Author Institution: Department of ChemistryThe previously reported vibrational analysis of the dβ²βAβ² transition (2900 {\AA}) in Br2β is extended to include additional bands obtained by photographing the emission from isotopically separated 79Br2β and 81Br2β. From measurements of the partially resolved rotational structure in several prominent bands, employed together with Franck-Condon and centrifugal distortion calculations, we obtain a rotational analysis. The results indicate that Reβ²β²β=2.69 \AA, which is comparable to the known values for the B(0^{+} u \; ^{3}\Pi) and A(1u3Ξ ) states. The analysis supports the 2g3Ξ β2u3Ξ designation for this transition
