Conformational dif-ferences of the polymer chains in the interphase region of alaminate and in bulk (free standing film) have been investi-gated to get in insight into the adhesion mechanism.Materials and MethodPET-IF steel laminates were studied, which were prepared byspin casting of a PET solution on the uniformly deformingsteel substrate. The steel was polished and cut into tensilebars. Free-standing PET films were made by casting on teflonsheet.
