Abstract
This short paper is one of a series of resources on effective practice for trusts and foundations, and draws particularly on the experiences of foundations with a limited life span. Feedback from ACF members suggests that, while most remain committed to a long-term or permanent future for their foundation, increasing numbers are interested in exploring spending all or part of their capital in pursuit of their mission.
