Heroin Use and Prescription Drug Misuse in Kentucky

Abstract

The most recent Kentucky Health Issues Poll (KHIP) on heroin use and prescription drug misuse shows where our state's drug problems are hitting hardest. Northern Kentucky residents are twice as likely as other Kentucky residents to report knowing someone with heroin problems. Younger, white, lower income adults are more likely to know someone with problems because of prescription drug misuse.
