Complex formation between methylcellulose and poly(acrylic acid) and poly(methacrylic acid) in aqueous solutions was studied. It was shown that the interaction of these polymers yields compact particles of interpolymer complexes with nonstoichiometric compositions. The critical pH values of complex formation were determined. It was demonstrated that the addition of DMF and isopropanol causes dissociation of the examined complexes
