The Place Names of Pārdaugava, Rīga

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Rīgas pilsētas Pārdaugavas vietu nosaukumi” ir veltīts mūsdienās aktuālai toponīmikas nozarei – urbanonīmikai. Šajā pētījumā tiek apskatīti Rīgas pilsētas Pārdaugavas urbanonīmi – apkaimju nosaukumi un detoponīmiski hodonīmi. Darba pirmajā daļā tiek aplūkoti līdz šim veiktie pētījumi Rīgas urbanonīmijā un raksturota Pārdaugava. Darba otrajā daļā tiek apskatīti 10 Pārdaugavas apkaimju nosaukumi un 244 detoponīmiskas cilmes hodonīmi, no tiem 168, kas darināti no Latvijas reģionu – Kurzemes un Zemgales toponīmiem –, tiek aplūkoti detalizēti, šķirkļu veidā, meklējot atbilstošo etimonu. Ietverot arī vēsturiskos vietu nosaukumus, pētījumā pavisam aplūkoti 282 urbanonīmi. Šī bakalaura darba novitāte ir jauns pētījums onomastikas nozarē, iekļaujot pētāmo objektu lokā jaunus pilsētvides objektu (apkaimju) nosaukumus.The bachelor work is devoted to an urgent nowadays toponomastic branch – urbanonymy. This research examines urbanonyms of Pardaugava in Riga – the neighborhood names and detoponymic hodonyms. The first part of the work covers the research carried out so far in the urbanonyms of Riga and describes Pardaugava. In the second part of the work are viewed 10 names of the neighborhoods of Pardaugava and analyzed 244 detoponymic hodonyms of which 168 are made from Latvian region, Kurzeme's and Zemgale's, toponyms – they are discussed in details, in the form of articles, searching for the appropriate etymon. Including the historical place names, the research covers at a total of 282 urbanonyms. The novelty of this bachelor work is a new study in the field of onomastic, including the new locality (neighborhood) names of the urban environment objects
