The bulk of the documents on the development of retail trade of the BSSR is concentrated in the funds of the National Archives of the RepuЬlic of Belarus (former Communist Party Archives). The author illustrates this bу documents examples ofthe second half of the 1940s. She concludes that studying the funds ofthe foresaid archives allows figuring out how supplies of consumer goods of various social groups, functioning of commercial networks of retail facilities in the conditions of card system, regional peculiarities of commerce and infrastructure development were organized after 1947 and so on. The article underlines that the Communist Party documents dedicated only to the leaders of the party quite objectively reflected the difficult situation in the trade of the Byelorussian SSR in the postwar period.Самый многочисленный комплекс документов по истории советской торговли находится в Национальном архиве Республики Беларусь (НАРБ). С тех пор, как фонды этого архива (бывшего Партархива ЦК КПБ) стали доступными для исследователей, материалами истории торговли в БССР мало кто интересовался.
