PREVALENCIA DE TUMORES DE TEJIDOS BLANDOS DIAGNOSTICADOS MEDIANTE BIOPSIAS EN EL SERVICIO DE ANATOMIA PATOLOGICA DEL HOSPITAL CENTRAL "ANTONIO MARIA PINEDA" BARQUISIMETO, 1987-1996.

Abstract
Se realiz\uf3 una revisi\uf3n de tipo descriptiva longitudinal retrospectiva con la finalidad de determinar la prevalencia de Tumores de Tejidos Blandos diagnosticados mediante biopsias en el Servicio de Anatom\ueda Patol\uf3gica del Hospital Central Universitario "Antonio Mar\ueda Pineda", para lo cual se seleccionaron 2.122 pacientes con dichos diagn\uf3sticos. Se encontr\uf3 que los tumores m\ue1s frecuentes fueron benignos (97,88% del total), y entre ellos el Leiomioma represent\uf3 un 59,08%, seguido por el Lipoma (19,02%), y el Hemangioma (7,22%). Los tumores malignos representaron un 2,03% del total y los m\ue1s frecuentes fueron el Leiomiosarcoma (32,55%), el Rabdomiosarcoma Embrionario (27,90%) y el Fibrosarcoma (18,60%).\ua0(AU).

A descriptive, longitudinal, retrospective revision was carried out with the purpose of determining the prevalence of Tumor of The Soft Tissues Diagnosed by Biopsy at the Pathological Anatomy Department of the Hospital Central Universitario "Antonio Mar\ueda Pineda", for wich 2.122 patients with such diagnoses were selected. lt was found that most frecuent tumors were benign (97,88% of cases), and among them Leiomyoma accounted for 59,08%, followed by Lipoma (19,02%), and Hemangioma (7,22%). Malignant tumors accounted for 2,03% of cases and Leiomyosarcoma (32,55%), Embrionary Rhabdomyiosarcoma (27,90%), and Fibrosarcoma (18,60&), viere the most frecuent types.(AU)
