Abstract
Según Jaime Lerner, la Tortuga es el mejor ejemplo de calidad de vida, su caparazón es el LUGAR donde vive, es el medio con el que se transporta, donde trabaja y recrea. Contrario a lo que esta pasando en algunas ciudades, como Bogotá. Actividades del ser humano dispersas por todo un tejido urbano, obligando a la ciudad a crecer y expandirse innecesariamente y sin mirar otras soluciones. Se empiezan a crear en diferentes zonas de la ciudad, pérdida de las capacidades productivas, que traen consigo problemáticas como el deterioro físico, el vaciamiento demográfico, abandono, etc. Por lo tanto es fundamental intervenir de manera integral estos lugares para revitalizar, potenciar, canalizar, equilibrar, redireccionar y fortalecer la energía. El crecimiento de la ciudad no solo se debe a la fragmentación de las actividades de los habitantes, la industrialización, las oportunidades que ven las personas en la capital de Colombia, sino también, razones políticas y graves problemas sociales como lo son la pobreza y la violencia, representadas en el desplazamiento de las familias del sector rural. No se pretende dar una solución de raíz, sino un mejoramiento progresivo en puntos específicos que por la energía positiva que genera, repercutirá en los alrededores. Por tal razón se toma como ideal el Modelo de Ciudad Compacta , está mas que claro que las ciudades crecen y seguirán creciendo, no se piensa en expandir sino en comprimir, este modelo debe superar el urbanismo con función única, debe equilibrar la utilización a favor de la vida comunitaria."According to Jaime Lerner, the turtle is the best example of life quality, it shell is the PLACE where it live, is the way by which it is transported, where it work and recreate. It is not intended to give a root solution but a gradual improvement in specific places that with the positive energy that it generates it will impact on a good way the surroundings. For this reason is taken as the ideal the ""Compact City"" model.
