As part of our ongoing development of the Dielectric Wall Accelerator, we are studying the performance of multilayer high-gradient insulators. These vacuum insulating structures are composed of thin, alternating layers of metal and dielectric, and have been shown to withstand higher gradients than conventional vacuum insulator materials.
