Objectivo do Estudo: realizar uma revisão sistemática de medidas do estado de saúde para a
condição específica acidente vascular cerebral que incorporem conteúdos relativos aos
domínios de actividade e participação e analisar as suas características psicométricas.
Metodologia: a revisão foi efectuada em duas etapas. Na primeira foram identificadas as
medidas e os seus conteúdos. Na segunda pesquisou-se sobre estudos que delas reportassem
informações sobre as suas propriedades psicométricas. As bases de dados electrónicas
PubMed, Cochrane, PEDro e EMBASE foram usadas em ambas as etapas e pesquisadas para
o período de um de Janeiro de 1970 a 31 de Março de 2011. A selecção e análise dos estudos
foi efectuada por três revisores face a critérios pré-determinados.
Resultados: na primeira etapa foram identificadas 125 potenciais medidas das quais, após a
aplicação dos critérios de inclusão, se obteve uma amostra final de 32. Na segunda etapa, após
a avaliação das características psicométricas das medidas foram excluídas mais quatro o que
permitiu obter uma amostra final de 28 medidas.
Conclusões: todas as medidas avaliadas apresentam dados de fiabilidade e validade, somente
39,3% de poder de resposta e 17,9% de significância clínica. Das medidas incluídas 96,5%
apresentam itens relacionados com o domínio da mobilidade (d4) e em 53,6% das medidas é o
único domínio abrangido.Purpose of the Study: conduct a systematic review of measures of health status for the
specific stroke condition that incorporate content relating to domain of activity and
participation and to analyze their psychometric characteristics.

well as their contents. In the second, a search was made on studies that report information about its psychometric properties. The electronic databases PubMed, Cochrane, EMBASE
and PEDro were used in both steps and searched for the period first of January of 1970 to 31
March 2011. The selection and analysis of the studies were performed by three reviewers
against previous criteria’s.
Results: in the first phase 125 potential measures were identified which, after the application
of inclusion criteria, resulted in a final sample of 32. In the second step, after the evaluation of
the psychometric property of the 32 measures, another four were excluded which resulted in a
final sample of 28 measures.
Conclusions: all measures that were assessed show data reliability and validity, but only
39.3% show responsiveness and 17.9% clinical significance. 96.5% of the measures that were
included contain items related to the domain of mobility (d4) and in 53.6% of the measures
this is the only domain covere
