Three separate theories of inhibiting cisplatin-induced apoptosis were investigated utilizing different cellular mechanisms. Specifically, the copper transport cycle, TRPV1, and the JNK pathway were inhibited and immunohistochemistry was performed to determine levels of apoptosis.
