A developed softwareprompts the users for the times used to control the probesensor and allows lhe registration of localidentification, date, time and data to specific memorylocations. Results indicated that the heated thermistoris capable to work as a flowmeter since its transientthermal response was affected by the local sap flow. Thefractional thermal natural logarithm response indicatedthat the system can not be analysed as a first ordermodelo Further investigations are necessary to overcomethe problems encountered in the thermal transient heattransfer process.
