OPINIONS OF KINDERGARTEN AND SCHOOL PROFESSIONAL WORKERS ABOUT EDUCATION OF RESPONSIBLE ATTITUDE TOWARDS ANIMALS

Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo raziskali mnenja strokovnih delavcev v vrtcu in šoli o vzgoji odgovornega odnosa do živali. V teoretičnem delu je podan pregled raziskav pozitivnega vpliva živali na človeka, vplivu živali na razvoj otrok in vpliv izkušenj z ljubljenčki v otroštvu na odnos do živali v odraslosti. Predstavljeni so pomen, namen in cilji vzgoje odgovornega odnosa do živali ter možnosti, metode in načini vključevanja vzgoje odgovornega odnosa do živali v vzgojno-izobraževalni proces. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo anketnih vprašalnikov preučili izkušnje strokovnih delavcev z ljubljenčki ter njihova stališča do živali in do vpliva živali na otroka. Raziskali smo ali in kako strokovni delavci v vzgojno-izobraževalno delo vključujejo vzgojo odgovornega odnosa do živali ter ugotavljali ali so seznanjeni z aktivnostmi s pomočjo živali, ki jih izvajajo nekatera društva v Sloveniji. Pri tem so nas zanimale razlike glede na izkušnje strokovnih delavcev z živalmi, glede na delovno dobo in delovno mesto strokovnih delavcev. Ugotovitve, do katerih smo prišli med izdelavo diplomskega dela, so prikazane v poglavju Rezultati in interpretacija.In this thesis, we studied the opinions of the professional staff in kindergartens and schools about the teaching of a responsible attitude towards animals. The theoretical part provides an overview of research of the positive impact of animals on humans, the impact of animals on children\u27s development and influence of experience with pets in childhood on attitudes towards animals in adulthood. It presents the aim and objectives of teaching responsible attitude towards animals and options, methods and ways of involving teaching of responsible attitude towards the animals in the educational process. The empirical part presents results of a questionnaire that analyzed the experiences of teachers with pets and their attitudes towards animals and their effects on children. We investigated whether and how practitioners in educational work include raising a responsible attitude towards animals in their work and determined whether they are familiar with the activities using animals, carried out by some associations in Slovenia. In doing so, we were interested in differences in the experience of professionals in animals, depending on seniority and profession. The conclusions are presented in the last chapter of the thesis
