Sustentado, procede-se a uma reflexão, orientada pelo paradigma da complexidade,
sobre o papel da Escola no século XXI, aquele em que o número de alfabetizados
do planeta é bastante superior ao dos analfabetos, o que confere à Escola,
numa dimensão planetária, a enorme responsabilidade de conduzir a humanidade
para uma estádio de consciencialização que a proteja das irracionalidades locais e
globais.In the context of Human and Supported Development, we will reflect
upon the role of school in the 21st century, bearing in mind the complexity paradigm.
This role is related to the fact that the number of alphabetized people is at
the moment much bigger than the number of the non-alphabetized ones. In fact,
this gives school – in a planetary way – the status of one of the most important
institutions to lead the humankind to a state of consciousness which protects it
against local and global irrationalities
