20 MANUSCRIPTSSATURDA Y, 20 OCTOBER 1963Mikael ElamProblems run through the maze in my headThe given morals of my life are like the leafs,they die and are shedAnd the Wind cries and blows.Dead leafs-symbols of my passing fanciesAll fall and blow, are swept and burntJust as the dreams of mineAnd the Wind cries and blows.Wood nymphs dance to the strains of Chopin that fill the air,They seem to be aware, as the Piper leads me astray,of the feelings I leave as I go away.Like a blade of grass, the ashes of a tire and the tintinabulation of achime, my soul dances away with the nymphs in time.The Wind beckons and entices me on farther from the virtue I hearWe dance on, leaving everything bourgeoisie hold dearIn a field, I stand like a bud in the springSimple, vulnerable, young-like a dawningBut, the golden horizon vanishes before I understandAnd like a spirit out of Pandora's box, I stand to face the world, withthe nymphs stilI, dancing among the streams and rocksAnd the Wind cries and blows.
