Abstract

Every three years, the Society for Hindu-Christian Studies honors a recent work in the field with the Society\u27s book award. Along with Dempsey\u27s work, three of the finalists for this year\u27s award are reviewed below: Francis X Clooney\u27s Hindu God, Christian God: How Reason Helps Break Down the Boundaries between Religions, Thomas Forsthoefel\u27s Knowing Beyond Knowledge, and Peter van der Veer\u27s Imperial Encounters: Religion and Modernity in India and Britain
