[Resumen] Cuando tratamos de analizar cuál sería la estructura financiera óptima de una empresa o conjunto de empresas de un determinado sector, encontramos que existe o podría existir una estructura óptima de activo indisolublemente unida a una estructura financiera que también ha de ser óptima. Mediante el presente trabajo hemos intentado averiguar si la estructura financiera de la industria de conservas de pescado en Galicia es similar a la que presentan las empresas de conservas del resto de España, o bien, tiene características propias.
Por otro lado, se presentan algunas de las teorías más reconocidas sobre la estructura de capital así como las investigaciones más representativas en torno a la estructura financiera de las empresas. Analizaremos la relación entre el coste de capital, el endeudamiento y el valor de la empresa, lo que nos permitirá tener un buen conocimiento acerca de la estructura de capital de las empresas conserveras gallegas. Hemos podido consultar qué cambió en torno a la crisis hipotecaria española y cómo supieron salir de esa vorágine las empresas Gallegas[Abstract] When the best financial structure of an enterprise or a group of companies within a particular area is analysed, the possibility of an ideal asset assemblage might exist or already exists,which is indissolubly united to a financial structure. This entity must cover the companies needs in an optimal way. The present document aims to research whether the financial structure of the canning industry in Galicia is similar to other Spanish ones or not.
Furthermore, different theories about the structure of the most important and widely-known worldwide capital are shown on this paper, in order to analyze the most representative research on company financial structure, analyzing the relationship between the cost of capital debt and the value of the company. This will enable us to have a wider knowledge about capital structure, and therefore to reach the objective of this study: the Galician canning industries. What is more, what happened before and after the Spanish mortgage crisis has been consulted, as well as how Galician enterprises managed to deal with this situation.Traballo fin de grao (UDC.ECO).
