PURPOSE  The admission process aims for candidates to 1 (one) scholarships from PNPD/CAPES, awarded to the Graduate Program in Physics of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, according to the established Regulations by portaria CAPES nº 086, de 03 de julho de 2013. The requirements are detailed at the website of CAPES at the link: http://www.capes.gov.br/scholarships/scholarships-nopais/pnpd-capes  The monthly amount of the scholarship is R$ 4.100.00 (four thousand one hundred reais) during for 24 months, can be renewed annually until the maximum of 60 months.   2. TIMELINE   Registration period of the admission process at the Graduate Program in Physics of UFSC: from November 7, 2017 to November 27, 2017 5 pm.   Approval’s registrations: November 28, 2017 after 5 pm.   Deadline to file an appeal about the approval’s registrations: from November 28, 2017 5 pm to November 30, 2017 5 pm.   Release of approved registrations after analyzing the filed appeals: December 1, 2017 after 5 pm.   Final results release: December 15, 2017 after 5 pm.   Deadline to filed an appeal about the final results release: from December 15, 2017 5 pm up to December 17, 2017 5 pm. REGISTRATION  3.1. To register at the admission process to the scholarship from PNPD/CAPES the candidate should necessarily provide the following documents:  a) Fill the on-line form, available at: http://ppgfsc.posgrad.ufsc.br/ficha-de-inscricao-on-line-do-processo-seletivo-pos-doutorado/  Attach to the on-line form the following documents in PDF:  b) Current Curriculum lattes;  c) Description of scientific interests, including the research project to the period (2 years, starting at the limit date of until february 5, 2018) maximum of 10 pages, including the supervisor’s name;  d) Acceptance letter from the supervisor, who must be a licensed as a permanent professor at the PPGFSC/UFSC, according to the Normative Resolution of UFSC nº 36/Cun, de 31 de outubro de 2013, proving that the project is correlated with your area of activity reinforcing the interest of being a supervisor. (List of licensed and permanent professors to the Graduate Program in Physics of the UFSC).   4. REQUIREMENTS AND ATTRIBUTIONS TO SCHOLARSHIP CANDIDATES    4.1. To the scholarship candidate is required:  4.1.1.  Have the PhD degree at the moment of the scholarship implementation, obtained in courses evaluated by CAPES and recognized by CNE/MEC. In case of diploma obtained in a foreign institution, it will be analyzed by the Graduate Program.  4.1.2.  Provides a current curriculum at the Plataforma Lattes do CNPq or, if foreign citizenship, a curriculum and academic record of patent registration and/or publication of academic and technological papers and of impact and/or prizes of academic merit.  4.1.3.  Not be retired or in a similar situation.  4.1.4.  The candidate can apply in one of the following modalities:  a)  Brazilian citizenship or foreign resident in Brazil holding the temporary visa, without an employment relationship; b) Foreign resident abroad, without an employment relationship;       SERVIÇO PÚBLICO FEDERAL UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE SANTA CATARINA CENTRO DE CIÊNCIAS FÍSICAS E MATEMÁTICAS PROGRAMA DE PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO EM FÍSICA CAMPUS UNIVERSITÁRIO REITOR JOÃO DAVID FERREIRA LIMA - TRINDADE  CEP: 88040-900 - FLORIANÓPOLIS - SC TELEFONE (048) 3721-2308  E-mail: ppgfsc@contato.ufsc.br 3  c) Professor or researcher in Brazil with an employment relationship in institutions of high education or public research institutions.  4.1.5.  The foreign candidate resident abroad should provide a residential address abroad at the time of the application submission.   4.1.6.  Substitute professors can be approved at the modality “a” item 4.1.4, without prejudice of the academic activities, after analysis and permit of the Graduate Program.    4.1.7.  The approved candidate at the modality “c” item 4.1.4 should provide the proof of retreat of the home institution, by a consistent period that matches with the scholarship validity.  4.1.8.  The approved candidate at the modality “c” item 4.1.4 cannot perform the post-doctorate internship at the same institution which the candidate has an employment relationship.  4.2. The scholarship holder has to:  4.2.1.  Elaborate the Annual Report of Activities to be submitted to the approval by the Graduate Program and send the Final Report up to 60 (sixty) days after the end of the related scholarship;  4.2.2.  Be engaged in the project activities;  4.2.3.  Reimburse to CAPES all grant irregularly received, when determined the non-observance of PNPD norms, except if motivated in fortuitous events, force majeure, circumstance beyond his/her control or significant disease properly based and proved. The evaluation of these situations is conditioned to the analysis and deliberation by the CAPES Executive Management (Diretoria Executiva da CAPES), in reasoned order.    5. ADMISSION PROCESS  5.1. The registered candidate at the admission process to the scholarship from PNPD/CAPES will have documents evaluated by the following criteria:  d) Quality, quantity and actuality of intellectual production; e) Diversity of education and experience abroad; f) Potential and good understanding from the candidate in the research area; g) Quality of the research project, feasibility and relevance to the PPGFSC/UFSC. RELEASES RESULTS  6.1. The results of the admission process to get the scholarship from PNPD/CAPES will be released at the internet, in the address: ppgfsc.posgrad.ufsc.br and at the PPGFSC/UFSC board according to the stipulated date at the item nº 2 from this notice.   7. FILE AN APPEAL   7.1. It will be ensured to the candidate the right to file an appeal against to the approval of applications and the final results release.  7.2. The appeal has to be properly based, with a logic and consistent argumentation.  7.3. The appeal may be send to the Admission Process Committee; it must to be send to the e-mail: ppgfsc@contato.ufsc.br.   7.4. No late appeals will be accepted. No fax, mail and/or similar appeals will be accepted.   8. ADMISSION PROCESS RANKING LIST  8.1. The final ranking list will be in descending order according to evaluations.   9. VALIDITY OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS TERM  9.1. The admission process results will be valid for 90 days, counted from the publication date of the final results after the appeals.  9.2. If there’s any additional scholarship vacancy at the limit of 90 days, counted from the date of the final results release, after the appeals, it will be use the ranking list of this admission process to this implementation.  10. GENERAL REGULATIONS  10.1. The approval in the admission process ensure to the candidate only the expectation of right to get in the PPGFSC/UFSC, becoming the implementation in this act as well the concession of the scholarship from the PNPD/CAPES conditioned to the fulfillment of legal and pertinent provisions, the strict ranking list, the committee’s decision of the scholarship registered in minutes and about the expiration date of the admission process.  10.2. No documents will be furnished to the candidate proving the position on the ranking list at the admission process. The documents to this purpose are the final approval results of the admission process, published at the website and at the PPGFSC/UFSC board. At any time the registation and the implementation of the scholarship from PNPD/CAPES can be cancelled, since that verified the falsity of any certification and/or any irregularity in the exams or the furnished documents at the on-line form.  10.5. The registration in the admission process implies knowing and accepting the established conditions in all contents of this notice and other regulatory expedients of the admission process, which the candidate cannot claim for unfamiliarity.  10.6. The PPGFSC/UFSC Coordination will contact the approved candidate contemplated with a scholarship from PNPD/CAPES, by the e-mail informed at the on-line registration form of pre-registering and scholarship implementation. It will occur up December 20, 2017 to December 27, 2017. In case of the candidate choses not entering at the PPGFSC/UFSC, he/she may send an e-mail to: ppgfsc@contato.ufsc.br, informing the waiver of admission.  10.7. The candidate contemplated with scholarship from PNPD/CAPES who doesn’t make the proceeding of pre-registration at the stipulated date, he/she will have the implementation of the scholarship cancelled and the PPGFSC/UFSC Coordination will contact the next candidate from the ranking list.  10.8. The PPGFSC/UFSC will announce, always when necessary, notices, complementary norms and official messages about the admission process.  10.9.
