En la actual sociedad de la información, el objetivo del presente artículo es esbozar
algunas de las razones por las que consideramos fundamental impulsar dentro y fuera
del sistema educativo la Educación en Medios. Entre ellas se encuentran las nuevas
formas de exclusión, la concentración mediática actual, el elevado índice de consumo
de medios o la democracia de audiencias. Sin olvidar la influencia de los medios a la
hora de construir el imaginario colectivo.In the current society of the information, the aim of the present article is appointing
some of the reasons by which consider fundamental to promote inside and out of the
educational system the Education in Means. Between them they find the new
forms of exclusion, the current media concentration, the high index of consumption
of means or the democracy of audiences. Without forgetting the influence of the means to
