Stochastic generation of annual and monthly rainfalls at Saudi Arabian stations

Abstract

A first-order Markov model is used for simulating annual data and a simple disaggregation model, the method of fragments, is used for simulating monthly data. Statistical parameters are satisfactorily preserved by both of the models. -from Author
