El sentido de la muerte en la nobleza cordobesa durante la segunda mitad del siglo XV

Abstract

The intention of this project is to furnish new knowledge about the nobility during the Later Middle Ages referring, in this case, specifically to the nobility of Córdoba, in relation to its feelings about the afterlife and its funeral customs. We will try to complement information in some recent studies, which refer to other areas, both in the Iberian Peninsula and elsewhere throughout Europe. This study is based on the analysis of more than one hun- dred testaments of members of the urban oligarchy of the city throughout the second half of the 15th Century.La intención de este proyecto es aportar nuevos conocimientos sobre la nobleza durante la Baja Edad Media, en este caso, específicamente sobre la nobleza cordobesa, en relación con sus sentimientos sobre la vida después de la muerte y sus costumbres funerarias. Trataremos de complementar la información en algunos estudios recientes, que se refieren a otras áreas, tanto en la Península Ibérica como en otras partes de Europa. Este estudio se basa en el análisis de más de un testamento de miembros de la oligarquía urbana de la ciudad a lo largo de la segunda mitad del siglo XV
