El bisonte, como posibilitador de relaciones inter-étnicas entre españoles e indios norteamericanos, es en la historiografía española un asunto olvidado. Este artículo está conformado en torno a cuatro temas documentados en fuentes primarias españolas. El primero es la integración del bisonte en el medio ambiente de las Grandes Llanuras y cómo los españoles fueron testigos de ello. El segundo asunto es el del impacto psicológico de este animal en los europeos. El tercero estudia cómo las vidas de los indios de las llanuras dependían por completo del bisonte. El último trata sobre el bisonte en las fronteras españolas de Nuevo Méjico, Texas y Luisiana.________________________________The bison as maker of inter-ethnical
