El presente trabajo ofrece un comentario literario de la elegía II 15
de Propercio. Se divide en dos secciones: el análisis literario
propiamente dicho de la poesía: y el estudio de su recepción en la
Antigüedad latina y en la literatura española. Dentro del análisis
literario se presta especial atención a la estructura del poema, su
intención, estilo, los motivos y tópicos amatorios que desarrolla, y las
fuentes y modelos literarios. Entre estas fuentes se destaca la
importancia de los epigramas de la Antología Griega y de Catulo. En el
apartado de la recepción, se estudian diferentes imitaciones de la
elegía en Ovidio, Marcial, lírica latina medieval, Fray Luis de León,
poesía erótica anónima del siglo XVI, J. Meléndez Valdés, Vicente
Aleixandre y J. Gil de Biedma. La mayor parte de estas reelaboraciones
literarias no había sido detectada. El artículo pretende resaltar la
importancia de esta elegía dentro del corpus de Propercio y en la
tradición literaria occidental._________________________________Offering a detailed literary commentary on Propertius' elegy 2.15,
this paper falls into two main sections: the literary analysis of the
poem, and a study of its reception in Latin antiquity and in Spanish
letters. As regards the first section, special attention is paid to the
elegy's structure, thematic intention, style, amatory topoi and literary
sources. Among these sources, several epigrams from the Greek Anthology and Catullus are examined. In the second section, the paper
surveys imitations of the elegy by specific authors —Ovid, Martial, Fray
Luis de León, J. Meléndez Valdés, Vicente Aleixandre and J. Gil de
Biedma— and in the medieval Latin lyric and the anonymous love
poetry of the sixteenth century
