During the first decades of the 20th century, some women were active
participants in the establishment of the education as for hygiene and health, spreading and
applying the knowledge about the mother-infantile care in a massive form. The journalist
Esperanza Velázquez Bringas demonstrated a great interest in favour of the rights of the
children and the women in this matter, promoting a new model of maternity, in which the
Mexican women with scanty resources were conscious of the role that they were playing
within the society.Durante las primeras décadas del siglo XX, algunas mujeres fueron partícipes
activas en la instauración de la educación en materia de higiene y salud, divulgando
y aplicando los conocimientos acerca del cuidado materno-infantil de forma masiva.
La periodista Esperanza Velázquez Bringas manifestó un gran interés en pro de los
derechos de los niños y de las mujeres en esta materia, promoviendo un nuevo modelo de
maternidad, en el cual las mexicanas de escasos recursos fuesen conscientes del papel que
desempeñaban dentro de la sociedad
