En la bibliografía científica sobre Arqueología Funeraria es frecuente
emplear términos tomados de la Antropología Física para la descripción y definición de
enterramientos, que en más de una ocasión se manejan de manera incorrecta o ambigua.
El objetivo de este breve artículo es, por tanto, definir y concretar dichos términos con
el fin de establecer una terminología universal y precisa que permita a la comunidad
científica describir y comprender de manera objetiva las manifestaciones funerarias.In the scientific literature about Archaeology of Death and Burial, it is common
to use terms taken from Physical Anthropology for the description and definition of
burials, since in more than one occasion these terms are used wrong and they become
ambiguous or incorrect. Therefore, the purpose of this essay is to define and clarify the
meaning of the concepts in order to establish a universal terminology and to make the
funeral remains more objective
