Catalan Health Care System. Structure, Present Situation and Prospects. The Catalan Health Care System is undergoing a period of transformation and reform. This paper analyses the present situation as well as the trends that emerge from the ongoing process of change, which is setting up the basic traits of the future Health Care System in Catalonia within the framework of the General Health Care Bill (1986).El sistema sanitario catalán se encuentra en un periodo de transición y reforma.
