Abstract
El presente artículo analiza definiciones del
Diccionario fraseológico documentado del
español actual (2004) de Manuel Seco et al., en
las que los autores se apoyan sobre todo en el
significado recto y no tanto en el traslaticio.
Entre otros aspectos, se consideran entradas en
las que falta la acepción con el significado más
traslaticio, otras en las que sobra la acepción con
el significado recto, se comentan definiciones
basadas excesivamente en el significado recto y
se examina la estructuración de la información
en el definiens. Todo ello se compara con datos
procedentes de la red. En general, sostenemos la
opinión de que en un buen número de unidades
fraseológicas ha tenido lugar una transposición
semántica, y que es principalmente el resultado
de este proceso lo que debe ser objeto de la
definición fraseográfica.This article shall analyse definitions from the
dictionary Diccionario fraseológico documentado
del español actual (2004) by Manuel Seco et al.,
in which the authors mainly draw upon the
literal meaning rather than upon the figurative.
Among other things, we will consider dictionary
entries which lack the most figurative meaning,
entries for which the literal meaning is out of
place and definitions that are based too much
on the literal meaning, and we will also analyse
the structure of the information in the definiens.
The results of these analyses will be compared
with data from the internet. In general, we
believe that a good number of phraseological
units shows a semantical transposition, and it is
the result of this process which must be the
object of the phraseological definition
