Manufacturing and automation research cooperation in the Danube area

Abstract

Continuous technology transfer is needed to keep the manufacturing industry competitive on the world markets (Manufuture Strategy). The manufacturing infrastructure in Eastern Europe broke down 20 years ago and has now the chance to catch up by installing technology transfer centres based on the successful Fraunhofer model. In the Danube area the EU Danube Strategy can now be used by those states to fund and accelerate this process
