In his contribution the author deals with problems concerning desolated farms in the 14th and 15th centuries Slovenia. The consequences of this process could be traced in all spheres - political, economic, cultural, ethnic and demographic. The problems concerning desolated farms can be dealt with even today, for some parts of Slovenia look today as they looked five hundred years ago.Avtor v prispevku obravnava problematiko pustot v Sloveniji v 14. in 15. stoletju. Posledice tega procesa so bile vidne na vseh področjih - političnem, gospodarskem, kulturnem, etničnem in demografskem. O problematiki pustot pa lahko govorimo tudi danes, saj so posamezni deli Slovenije taki kot pred petsto leti
