The author states close dependancy of development of the Slovene historiography (1945- 1990) on development of the political system which wanted to control every single life segment. The made up historiography concept in the years 1946-1951 put the research field within the frame of social and economic history. The so-called marxist historiography vvas prescribed, which made a complete history treatment impossible. Older periods were pushed aside and marginalized, whereas modern times, however, favorized. The authorities succeeded to set up a complete unbalanced and one-sided development of the history researching with permanent reforms of complete educational system and the place of history in it. »Revolutionary« authorities wanted all the time from their birth (1945) till their death (1990) to shape an equal and uniform consideration of the past, of the present and of the future, and by means of well considered selectivity enforce a totally limited and crippled historical memory as the objective truth.
