Abstract
Yüksek Lisans TeziModern Mısır Edebiyatının önde gelen yazarlarından olan Bahâ Tâhir, altmışlar kuşağı olarak bilinen grubun önemli isimlerindendir. Yazar, Mısır insanının durumunu ve iç dünyasını yansıtmaya çalıştığı romanlarını ve diğer türlerdeki eserlerini okuyucu ile buluşturarak Arap dünyasının en çok okunan yazarlarından biri olmuştur. Yazarın kitapları pek çok dile çevrilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile Mısırlı yazar Bahâ Tâhir’in daha önce Türkçeye çevirisi yapılmamış olan Hâletî Safiyye ve’d-Deyr romanının incelemesi yapılarak okuyucunun bu konuda bilgilendirilmesi, aynı zamanda yazar Bahâ Tâhir ve eserleri hakkında bilgiler verilerek, kendisinin Türk akademisine ve yayım hayatına tanıtılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle modern Mısır edebiyatının gelişim süreci ele alınmıştır. Aynı bölümde, Bahâ Tâhir’in hayatı anlatılmış ve eserleri tanıtılmıştır. Böylece Bahâ Tâhir’in Arap edebiyatına katkısına dikkat çekilmiştir. Çalışmanın devamında araştırmanın ana konusu olan Bahâ Tâhir’in Hâletî Safiyye ve’d-Deyr adlı romanının tanıtımına yer verilmiş, yazarın bu eseri, roman çözümleme yöntemi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Romanda yer alan materyal unsurlar, teknik unsurlar ve tematik unsurlar ayrı başlıklar altında ele alınmıştır. Yazarın modern roman unsurlarına romanında yer verdiği görülmüş, eserini modern roman teknikleri ile kaleme aldığı ortaya konulmuştur. Yazarın bu eserini sade bir üslup ve gerçekçi bir tutumla yazmış olduğu görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada son olarak ise romanda karşılaşılan temalar hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu temalar aşk, intikam, kadın, ölüm, iyilik, hoşgörü ve savaş başlıkları altında, romanda geçen örneklere yer verilerek anlatılmıştır. Yazarın dilin gücünü bir araç olarak kullanarak, anlatımına bireysel ve toplumsal mesajlar yerleştirmeyi seçmiş olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Bahā Tāhir, one of the leading writers of modern Egyptian literature, is one of the important figures of the group known as the sixties generation. The author has become one of the most widely read writers in the Arab world with his novels and other works in other genres, in which he tries to reflect the situation and inner world of the Egyptian people. His books have been translated into many languages. This study aims to inform the reader by analyzing the Egyptian writer Bahâ Tâhir's novel Hâletî Safiyye wa'd-Deyr, which has not been translated into Turkish before, and also to introduce him to Turkish academia and publishing life by giving information about the writer Bahâ Tâhir and his works. In this study, the development process of modern Egyptian literature is discussed first. In the same section, Bahā Tāhir's life is described and his works are introduced. Thus, Bahā Ṭāhir's contribution to Arabic literature was emphasized. In the continuation of the study, the main subject of the research, Bahā'Ṭāhir's novel al-Khālatī Safiyya wa'd-Deyr, is introduced and this work of the author is analyzed using the novel analysis method. Material elements, technical elements and thematic elements in the novel are discussed under separate headings. It was seen that the author included modern novel elements in his novel, and it was revealed that he wrote his work with modern novel techniques. It was seen that the author wrote this work with a simple style and a realistic attitude. Finally, this study provides information about the themes encountered in the novel. These themes are explained under the headings of love, revenge, women, death, goodness, tolerance and war by giving examples from the novel. It has been determined that the author has chosen to place individual and social messages in his narration by using the power of language as a tool
