This study aims to develop and validate an app design on the identification and conduct of transfusion reactions. Methodological research carried out from May 2020 to January 2021, in the municipality of Quixadá-CE, consisting of four phases: I - Definition of content and scope of the app design; II - Benchmarking of existing application technologies; III - Development of the app design and IV - Validation of content and appearance. For the design construction phase, the 12 selected articles were read, the content categorized and the app designer drafted. No apps were found in the online stores with the objectives of this study, and benchmarking was not carried out as initially proposed. A design entitled Transfusion reactions was developed. The content and appearance of the screen design were validated by 14 judges with proven expertise in the field. Content validation was analyzed in three domains: Objectives, Structure and presentation and Relevance. The overall agreement rate was 92.5%. Analysis of the results of the Binomial Test showed that there was agreement between the judges as regards the scores awarded (p > 0.05). In the appearance validation, all the items had an excellent appearance validity index (IVA) (≥ 0.78), however, one judge partially disagreed with the adequacy of the illustrations, clarity and ease of understanding, elucidation of the content, two judges partially disagreed with the size of the illustrations. It is concluded that the design of the transfusion reactions app was developed based on up-to-date literature, showing validity of content and appearance.Este estudo objetiva desenvolver e validar um design de app sobre identificação e conduta nas reações transfusionais. Pesquisa metodológica realizada de maio de 2020 a janeiro de 2021, no município de Quixadá-CE, constituída em quatro fases: I – Definição de conteúdo e escopo do app design; II – Benchmarking sobre as tecnologias de aplicativos existentes; III – Desenvolvimento do app design e IV – Validação de conteúdo e aparência. Para a fase de construção do design, foi realizada leitura dos 12 artigos selecionados, categorização do conteúdo e a elaboração do Designer para o aplicativo. Não foram encontrados aplicativos nas lojas virtuais com os objetivos deste estudo, não tendo sido realizado o benchmarking como inicialmente proposto. Desenvolveu-se um design intitulado Reações transfusionais. O conteúdo e aparência do design das telas foram validados por 14 juízes com comprovada expertise na área. A validação de conteúdo foi analisada em três domínios: Objetivos, Estrutura e apresentação e Relevância. O Índice de concordância total foi de 92,5%. A partir da análise do resultado do Teste Binomial, constatou-se a concordância entre os juízes quanto à pontuação atribuída (p > 0,05). Na validação da aparência, todos os itens apresentaram índice de validade de aparência (IVA) excelentes (≥ 0,78), contudo, um juiz discordou parcialmente quanto à adequação das ilustrações, clareza e facilidade de compreensão, elucidação do conteúdo, dois juízes discordaram parcialmente quanto ao tamanho das ilustrações. Conclui-se que o design do app reações transfusionais foi desenvolvido a partir da literatura atualizada, apresentando validade de conteúdo e aparência
