In this study, political deepfake videos, which have reached the highest number of views on YouTube, are examined by semiotic analysis based on Ferdinand de Saussure’s definition of sign. In this context, the word “deepfake” was searched on YouTube on January 12, 2023, and among the listed deepfake videos, the first three videos that reached the highest number of views were included in the research sample. This study aims to reveal which types of deepfake videos of political leaders are viewed more on YouTube. As a result of the study, it was revealed that satirical elements were at the forefront in the deepfake videos of the political leaders examined within the scope of the sample and in this context, deepfake videos of political leaders containing satire were viewed more on YouTube.Bu çalışmada, YouTube’da en yüksek oranda görüntülenme sayısına ulaşmış olan siyasi deepfake videolar Ferdinand de Saussure’ün gösterge tanımlaması üzerinden göstergebilimsel çözümlemesi yapılarak incelenmektedir. Bu kapsamda 12 Ocak 2023 tarihinde YouTube’ta “deepfake” sözcüğü aratılmış ve sıralanan deepfake videolar arasından, en yüksek oranda görüntüleme sayısına ulaşmış olan ilk üç video araştırma örneklemine dahil edilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile, siyasi liderlerin hangi türdeki deepfake videolarının YouTube’da daha fazla görüntülendiğinin ortaya koyulması amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma sonucunda, örneklem kapsamında incelenen siyasi liderlerin deepfake videolarında hiciv unsurlarının ön planda olduğu, bu bağlamda siyasi liderlerin hiciv içeren deepfake türündeki videolarının YouTube’da daha fazla görüntülendiği ortaya koyulmuştur
