Familias multiespecie en Bogotá: roles, dinámicas y aportes desde el Trabajo Social

Abstract

This article presents the findings of a qualitative study that focused on identifying the roles and dynamics of multispecies families from a social work perspective. Using narrative approaches, group interviews, and genograms with families in Bogotá, the paper explores the role of animals within family structures. First, the article provides a conceptual overview of multispecies families. It then outlines the methodological approach and presents the results under three analytical categories: the significance of animals within family structures, the roles and dynamics of animal care, and the family tensions that arise in response to this.Este artículo expone los hallazgos de una investigación cualitativa, centrada en la identificación de los roles y dinámicas de las familias multiespecie desde el Trabajo Social. Bajo un enfoque narrativo y mediante el uso de entrevistas grupales y genogramas con familias en Bogotá, se indagó el lugar de los animales dentro de la estructura familiar, el cual presenta de manera inicial una mirada conceptual de la familia multiespecie, luego describe el horizonte metodológico y, posteriormente, establece los resultados bajo tres ejes de análisis: el primero, el sentido del animal en la estructura familiar; el segundo, los roles y las dinámicas del cuidado animal; y el tercero, las tensiones familiares que emergen frente a ello
