L’enceinte Néolithique de Cravant Haut De Bréviande, commune de Deux-Rivières (Yonne) et la séquence chronologique du début du Néolithique autour de la confluence Yonne/Cure

Abstract

The enclosure of Deux-Rivières (Cravant), identified by aerial photography by J.-P. Delor, was the subject of a brief survey campaign in 1999. Delimited by a palisade and perhaps a ditch or a second palisade, it surrounds an area of approximately 1.5 ha. It is very eroded by the creation of a military airfield runway that scraped away the interior. The excavated remains are insufficient to propose a precise age. The rare clues allow us to formulate a first hypothesis of cultural attribution to the early Cerny period, which is well-represented in the local context. In this article, we propose an update of the chronological sequence of the Yonne-Cure confluence sector during the 5th millennium. We note a certain proximity between the early Cerny and the Chambon group
