Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Health-related physical fitness management on pancreatic beta cell function in patients with pre diabetes. Methods A total of 187 patients with pre-diabetes diagnosed and treated in the Department of Endocrinology of Nanjing Central Hospital from January 2022 to December 2022 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into the study group (93 cases of health - related physical fitness management intervention) and the control group (94 cases of regular intervention) according to the complete randomized control principle using the random numbers method. The changes of blood glucose, lipid metabolism, pancreatic beta cell function, body composition and other indicators between the two groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the study group had lower fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2-hour postprandial blood glucose (2hPG), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C), fasting insulin (FINS) (P0.05), and lower insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) (P<0.05) in the study group after 24 and 48 weeks of intervention. Compared with the control group, the study group had lower levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (P<0.05) and higher levels of high- density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (P<0.05) after 24 and 48 weeks of intervention. Compared with the control group, the study group had lower body mass index (BMI), visceral fat area, body fat percentage (BF%), waist hip ratio (WHR) (P<0.05), and higher trunk muscle mass (P<0.05) after 24 and 48 weeks of intervention. Conclusion The application of health fitness management in patients with pre diabetes can reduce blood glucose, improve blood lipids and islet beta function, reduce fat deposition, and increase muscle content
