Marco Kools  Stellingen behorende bij het proefschrift:  1. De school als lerende organisatie is een multidimensionaal model dat bestaat uit zeven onderliggende dimensies (dit proefschrift). 2. Alle dimensies van de school als lerende organisatie dienen gezamenlijk te worden geimplementeerd omdat deze elkaar dan versterken (synergie) – ‘de som van de delen is groter dan de afzonderlijke delen’ (dit proefschrift). 3. De school als lerende organisatie heeft een positieve invloed op HR uitkomsten (dit proefschrift). 4. Schoolleiders zijn positiever dan leraren en lesondersteunend personeel in de mate waarin zij hun scholen beschouwen als lerende organisatie (dit proefschrift). 5. Transformationele leiders en/of proactieve veranderingsagenten zijn essentieel om een duurzame leercultuur te vestigen in scholen (dit proefschrift). 6. Scholen in het secondair onderwijs zullen over het algemeen meer moeite hebben zich te ontwikkelen als lerende organisaties dan scholen in the primair onderwijs.  7. Het huidige beleid van Nederland ter promotie van de school als lerende organisatie is gedoemd te falen. 8. Met slechts kleine aanpassingen kan het school als lerende organisatie model worden toegepast in andere publieke organisaties ter ondersteuning van hun zelfevaluatie- en verbeteringsprocessen. 9. Het monitoren van de ontwikkeling van (scholen als) lerende organisaties in het kader van de publieke verantwoording kan leiden tot onbedoelde gevolgen. 2  10. De school als lerende organisatie heeft een positieve invloed op de bereidheid tot verandering van onderwijspersoneel (‘individual readiness for change’). Extra stelling: 11. Iemands droom om te promoveren, is de nachtmerrie van de ander – veelal de partner van de dromer.
