Abstract
The article concerns the issue of parents convicted to imprisonment. The problems evolving out of this situation regard a parent’s role in the new conditions. This generates the need for changes in social functioning of the convicted person and their environment, as well as the changes in preparing pedagogical staff that work with imprisoned parents. Problemy wynikające z tej sytuacji dotyczą pełnienia roli rodzica w nowych warunkach. Stwarza to konieczność zmiany w funkcjonowaniu społecznym osoby skazanej oraz jej otoczenia i zmiany w przygotowaniu kadry pedagogicznej do pracy ze skazanymi – rodzicami
