Mazama rufa (Illiger, 1815) is a recently revalidated species, and several aspects of its ecology remain unknown. Here we aimed to describe the consumption of mushrooms (Basidiomycota) by M. rufa. Our study was carried out in the Iguaçu National Park (Atlantic Forest), where we made two records of fungi consumption by M. rufa using camera traps. The importance of fungi in the diet of M. rufa is unknown, but their consumption can increase the intake of important macronutrients for the survival of organisms. Further investigations may elucidate the importance of mushrooms in the diet of these animals.Mazama rufa (Illiger, 1815) é uma espécie recentemente revalidada, e diversos aspectos de sua ecologia permanecem desconhecidos. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo descrever o consumo de cogumelos (Basidiomycota) por M. rufa. Nosso estudo foi realizado no Parque Nacional do Iguaçu (Mata Atlântica), onde fizemos dois registros do consumo de fungos por meio de armadilhas fotográficas. A importância dos fungos na dieta de M. rufa é desconhecida, mas seu consumo pode aumentar os aportes de macronutrientes importantes para a sobrevivência dos organismos. Novas investigações poderão elucidar a importância dos cogumelos na dieta desses animais
